This Privacy Policy explains how Štěpán Šrubař ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Cathartic mobile application ("App") and the website at cathartic.featurehear.com ("Website"), collectively referred to as the "Service."

2.1 Account Information (via Google OAuth)

When you sign in with your Google account, we receive and store:

• Name — your Google account display name.
• Email address — your Google account email.
• Profile picture — your Google account avatar.

We use this information solely for authentication, displaying your profile within the App, and communicating with you about your account.

2.2 Gameplay Data

We collect data related to your in-app activity, including:

• Game progress and scores.
• Flashcard decks you create, and your study activity.

This data is stored on our servers to sync your progress across devices and provide the Service to you.

3. Children's Privacy

Cathartic is available to users of all ages. We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions.

• Children under 16 may use the Service without creating an account. Core gameplay features do not require sign-in.
• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 without parental consent.
• If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at gamemaster@featurehear.com and we will promptly delete the information.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
• Sync your gameplay progress across devices.
• Respond to your requests and communications.

• Firebase Authentication (Google) — used to process your Google sign-in. Firebase processes your authentication token; see Firebase Privacy Policy.

Your data is stored on our servers. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

8. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing gamemaster@featurehear.com. Upon receiving your request, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, unless we are required by law to retain it.

The Website does not use cookies or tracking technologies. The App does not contain any analytics SDKs or advertising trackers.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
